Comments: This image was sent to various authorities including NSW Marine Parks Authority and Seaworld. 5 days after this image was shot Seaworld mounted a rescue attempt and captured this shark, removing a 1 mtr long gaffe from it's stomach and successfully returned the shark back to the ocean. It was then the subject of a huge media story across the country hitting newspapers, radio and TV as well as numerous websites. This female Grey Nurse shark measured 2.97mtrs.
